Given that the average temperature is 19° and there are more than 300 sunny days a year Sainte-Maxime is an ideal vacation spot. The village offers both private and public beaches and the pedestrian area features many typical shops and restaurants where having candlelit dinners. The medieval origin of Sainte-Maxime can be seen in the most representative building of the town, the defensive Tour Carrée located on the seaside. The village offers many sport facilities, a 18-holes golf course and some walking and hiking trails.
